According to some sources, Nilperi ahinkaya visited the city to attend the Golden Boll Film Festival, while Burak Deniz was in the city for the filming of the TV show “ahmeran.”
Burak Deniz allegedly went to Nilperi Ahinkaya’s table and began swearing and yelling at them since he was extremely intoxicated and noticed that she was there with her partner and friends. Later, the actress declared that she will sue Burak Deniz for his inappropriate attitude.
The actor later issued an apology for his behaviour, publishing the following statement to his social media accounts:
“I’d like to share with you my statement on the matter, which has been making headlines since last Friday and has given rise to several accusations.
I want to express my sincere regret for the incident I had with Nilperi Ahinkkaya, her partner Emre Yusufi, and her friend Deniz Aknc in the hotel where we were staying before the festival, which caused me to hurt my friends in a way I did not intend. I tried to contact them directly, both through my manager and myself, to apologise promptly and in person the next morning after a fairly difficult night, but I was unable.
In addition to my behaviour not setting an example for society, I would like to apologise to Nilperi Ahinkaya and her friends as well as to everyone else who witnessed the incident that evening. I would also like to reiterate how sorry I am for bringing up such a sensitive topic in public.”
After this incident, a Turkish journalist by the name of Bersin claimed that Burak needed to receive alcoholism treatment because he had previously misbehaved when intoxicated multiple times. He stated in an interview that Burak Deniz once struck a postman on his bike while driving inebriated. He stated:
